30 days of home ownership and we’re nearly done with the move in improvements! We still have the flooring to put in, for the living/dining room, but we’ll be moving in this week anyway! Matt had a busy weekend while I was away running in the Ragnar relay. He added the cupboard doors to the kitchen, moved over a bunch of stuff from the apartment, to the new Garage. He organized all of the plumbing stuff to get a new bathroom pipe installed. Since we share the same water source as 4 other buildings in our complex… it can be quite complex, to shut the water off to change plumbing fixtures and such. We also had a lot of help from others this week as Dad finished grouting all of the floor tile! And it looks great! Just need to finish up with the fireplace. I’ll include better photos in the next post. Jeremiah came over and cleaned the stairs, the loft and the bedroom carpets! We hired out to have the bath/shower re-glazed! And one of Matt’s clients gave us a hand, installing the new pipe in the bathroom, so we’ll be working on the bathroom sinks tomorrow night. Sunday and Monday consisted of moving boxes and furniture over, and Tuesday and Wednesday nights will consist of the same. We’ve got Shannon and Jeff and Patrick coming over tonight to help with lighting and moving. And we’ve got our life group coming over Wednesday night to help wrap it all up. We’re not sure when we’ll install the laminate flooring but hopefully this weekend. :) Wishful thinking… we’ll see. Oh yeah, and the toilet found a new temporary home in the closet this week. :)
